Rouge du Rhin has created trend setting collections for today’s home. Frankly contemporary, this collection links the tradition of beautiful materials, such as linen, with modern day practicality.
An environmental-friendly choice of materials, high definition printing techniques and clever treatment of fabric all lend themselves to linens for everyday use. The Rouge du Rhin collections reinterpret the grand tradition of decorative home linens for today’s digital age.
Rouge du Rhin products are entirely made in the North of France. The most knowledgeable textile experts oversee the fabrication and treatment of our products.
In bygone days, the color “Rouge du Rhin” was obtained through the natural dye of the rose madder plant. These dyes were particularly used by the printers and dyers of the Alsace region of France. Waste waters from these workshops colored the creeks and streams feeding into the Rhin River. The concentration of these workshops around the city of Mulhouse was known as the “Red Sea Zone”. Threads of this “Rhine” red were widely used in marking household linens.
Rouge du Rhin is partner of the association " made in respect " and for " the hexagonal factory " which militate for guaranteeing to the consumers the respect for the man and his environment.
